Project Brief
The brief for the Cheltenham was to create a high-quality medium density apartment building within the new precinct of St Clair that interfaces with the adjacent public spaces and reinforces the site as a gateway.
Design Elements
Located on a major boulevard within the St Clair development, the Cheltenham also fronts onto St Clair’s central park space. The project makes a valuable contribution to the urban identity of the precinct by incorporating different compositions and materials to address each unique frontage. The relationship to its adjacent lower-scale neighbours and incorporation of public artwork in the main façade that makes reference to the previous land use as a racecourse strengthens the development as a pivotal entrance site.
