To design and build two Emerald Series homes for investment purposes, whilst maximising the use of the subdivided site and appealing to the mass market.
The solution was principally based on producing a building form which embodied the semi industrial nature of the zone and maintain an unfragmented pedestrian streetscape. The main building contains 7 terraces all street facing with rear vehicle access from one street point. The material pallet is classic and characteristic of the area, red brick, render and timber. The 7 townhouses offer split-level accommodation over 3 levels with lofty ceilings, large terrace and 3 bedrooms. The office is positioned on the main corner and is set around the large red river gum.
