Project Brief
The brief for EI8HT was to insert a 12-storey multi-residential development into the most prominent section of Adelaide’s coastline whilst protecting and enhancing the significant heritage context of the site and creating a new identity for the precinct. EI8HT seeks to strengthen Glenelg and the South Esplanade promenade as a premium residential address that reflects 21st century lifestyles, attitudes to environment and urban responsibility.
Design Elements
Majestic and inspiring, EI8HT is a defining architectural statement by Chasecrown. A sculptural and emblematic landmark on Glenelg’s southern foreshore, EI8HT’s scale-relationship, materiality and innovative landscaping establish a new interface with the South Esplanade and adjacent state heritage building, Seafield Tower.
While the ground plane and tower’s façade ebb and flow in a sinuous pattern, inspired by the changing coastal environment.
Each apartment design is based around forming a connection with the surrounding context, maximising light and capturing the spectacular views.
EI8HT is truly world class.
